We are meeting today to accept the seller's offer on the smaller but better neighborhood house.
I am excited but I did lose the 'discussion' over which house to purchase so I am strangely disappointed as well.
We have a very busy 2 months ahead of us. Throw in a house purchase and move and things are going to be CRAZY!!
I am worried about:
- See 8-21-2009 Worry
- Packing
- Moving
- Unpacking
- Wallpaper removal
- Painting
Those are good things to worry about. But it can all be done...in good time. wallpaper removal can be done too, you need to pick up some beer (ok, LOTS of beer) and invite some good friends over to help. Make it a competition of sorts.
ReplyDeleteOne of my neighbors swears by using Downy mixed with water, equal amounts, I think. Sponge on wall paper, and it peals right off.

I won't comment on the wallpaper removal in fear of pushing you over the edge. Just know this: in worst case scenarios, you can prime right over the wallpaper and then paint the room whatever color you want. See what a help I am???

ReplyDeleteHi Woody, I'm so happy you did get your home. You will LOVE it. These are GOOD things to worry about. Moving is always stressful--but that's a good kind of stress. Life is all about ATTITUDE. If you go in it with a bad attitude, it will be hard. If, however, you go into the move with a good attitude---you will get through it and actually, will feel some excitement...
